Description

Delicious fudgy brownies made with brown butter and dark chocolate.


Ingredients

  • 180g unsalted butter (3/4 cup + 1 tbsp)
  • 250g dark chocolate (1 cup + 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp)
  • 3 large eggs, room temperature
  • 100g light brown or dark brown sugar (1/2 cup, packed)
  • 100g granulated sugar (1/4 cup + 3 tbsp)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 100g plain flour/all-purpose flour (1/2 cup + 2 tbsp)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 50g milk chocolate, chopped (1/4 cup)
  • 50g milk chocolate chips (1/4 cup)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease and line your 8×8 inch baking tray.
  2. In a pan, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown.
  3. Pour the brown butter over the chopped dark chocolate and stir until melted.
  4. In a bowl, whisk the eggs with brown sugar and granulated sugar for about 3-4 minutes until fluffy.
  5. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
  6. Combine the brown butter chocolate mixture with the egg-sugar mix and whisk until smooth.
  7. Gently fold in the plain flour and salt until just combined.
  8. Stir in the chopped milk chocolate and milk chocolate chips.
  9. Pour the batter into the prepared baking tray, spreading evenly.
  10. Bake for 35-40 minutes and let them cool before slicing.

  • Allow brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting for clean edges.
