A delicious and quick recipe combining sautéed shrimp and smoked sausage with fresh broccoli.

- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 ounces smoked sausage, sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Prep the Ingredients: Peel and devein the shrimp if not already prepared. Slice the smoked sausage into rounds. Cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets.
- Marinate the Shrimp: In a bowl, combine shrimp with paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Set aside to marinate for 10 minutes.
- Cook the Sausage: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 4-5 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Sauté the Shrimp: In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the shrimp to the skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
- Cook the Broccoli: In the same skillet, add a little water if needed. Add broccoli and sauté until tender-crisp, about 4-5 minutes.
- Combine Ingredients: Return the sausage and shrimp to the skillet with the broccoli. Add lemon juice, soy sauce, and butter. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving. Serve hot, and enjoy!
Notes
- Adjust the seasoning to your taste; more paprika can be added for extra heat.
- You can substitute smoked sausage with chorizo for a spicier option.
- For added flavor, toast the garlic until golden before adding the shrimp.
- Serve with rice or pasta for a more filling meal.
