Description

Delicious and moist banana bread made with ripe bananas and chocolate chips.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup Ghirardelli 60% Bittersweet Chocolate Baking Chips
  • 1/2 cup Walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9×5 loaf pan with non-stick spray, set aside.
  2. Mash the bananas in a bowl.
  3. Add all the remaining ingredients and mix well with a wooden spoon. (Add more chocolate chips and walnuts to batter, if you want more than what is going on top.)
  4. Pour batter into loaf pan and then add chocolate chips and nuts on top.
  5. Bake 55 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck into the bread comes out clean.
  6. Slice and serve.

Notes

  • This banana bread can be stored in an airtight container for a few days.
  • For added flavor, you can include cinnamon or vanilla extract in the batter.
