- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- Zest of 1 orange
- 1 teaspoon orange extract
- 1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
- 1/4 cup finely chopped candied orange peel (optional)
- Additional shredded coconut for rolling
Instructions
- Melt Chocolate: In a double boiler, melt the white chocolate chips with the heavy cream over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth.
- Add Flavor: Remove from heat and stir in the orange zest, orange extract, and candied orange peel if using. Mix well to combine.
- Chill Mixture: Cover the mixture and refrigerate for about 1 to 2 hours, or until firm enough to handle.
- Shape Truffles: Once the mixture is firm, use a spoon to scoop out small amounts and roll them into balls between your palms.
- Coat Truffles: Roll each truffle in the additional shredded coconut until fully coated.
- Final Chill: Place the coated truffles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and chill in the refrigerator for another 30 minutes to set.
