- 1 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 cup dried cherries (chopped)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and chopped dried cherries.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spaced two inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden around the edges but still soft in the center.
Notes
- For a chewier cookie, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
- Adjust baking time based on your oven for best results.
