Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips and chopped dried cherries.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spaced two inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden around the edges but still soft in the center.
