Description

A delicious and creamy chicken dish made with mushrooms and fresh thyme.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 8 oz mushrooms sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and sear chicken for 4 to 5 minutes per side then remove.
  3. Add butter to the same skillet and cook mushrooms for 5 minutes until golden.
  4. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and simmer for 3 minutes scraping the pan.
  6. Add heavy cream and simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thick.
  7. Return chicken to the skillet and simmer 8 minutes until cooked through.
  8. Sprinkle fresh thyme on top and serve warm.
