Description
This Cajun chicken recipe features tender chicken breasts coated in a creamy sauce with sautéed bell peppers and onions.

- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 large red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 large yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning on both sides.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté sliced bell peppers and onion for roughly 5 minutes until softened. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
- Deglaze the skillet by pouring in chicken broth while scraping up any browned bits. Reduce heat to medium.
- Stir in heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce; simmer for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return cooked chicken to the skillet, coating it in the creamy sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve over cooked rice or pasta and garnish with chopped parsley.
