Description
This fun and colorful treat is perfect for parties or family gatherings!
Ingredients
Scale
- Gelatin mixes various flavors (e.g., strawberry, lemon, lime, blue raspberry, grape, etc.)
- 2 cups boiling water
- 2 cups cold water
- Non-stick spray
- Optional: Fruit slices (e.g., pineapple rings)
- Optional: Sugar to adjust sweetness
- Optional: Food coloring to enhance color depth
Instructions
- Prepare the Gelatin: For each flavor, dissolve the gelatin mix in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until completely dissolved. Add 1 cup of cold water to the dissolved gelatin and mix well.
- Mold Preparation: Lightly spray a ring mold or individual ring molds with non-stick spray.
- Create Layers: Pour a thin layer of one gelatin flavor into the molds, just enough to cover the bottom. Allow the first layer to set in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes or until firm.
- Repeat Layers: Continue adding layers of different gelatin flavors, refrigerating each layer until firm before adding the next. If using fruit slices, place them between layers for added texture and flavor.
- Final Setting: Once all layers are complete, refrigerate the molds for at least 2 hours or until fully set.
- Unmold and Serve: Gently remove the rings from the molds by loosening the edges with a knife if needed. Serve on a platter and enjoy these vibrant treats!
Notes
- Choosing Molds: Silicone molds make the removal easier due to their flexibility.
- Customizing Flavors: Experiment with different gelatin flavors and layer combinations for unique taste experiences.
- Layer Setting: Ensure each layer is fully set to prevent colors from bleeding into each other.
- Additions: Consider adding a small amount of whipped cream or yogurt for a creamy texture in one of the layers.
