Description
Delicious Churro Cruffins that are crispy on the outside and filled with a variety of sweet ingredients.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package Puff Pastry
- 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
- 1/2 cup Sugar (brown sugar can be used)
- 2 cups Neutral Oil (canola or vegetable oil)
- 1 cup Chocolate (dark or milk chocolate)
- 1 cup Jam (your favorite flavor)
- 1/2 cup Sweet Cream Cheese (mix with a hint of vanilla)
- 1/4 cup Cinnamon Sugar (combine cinnamon and sugar)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out your puff pastry until it’s about 1/4 inch thick. Cut it into squares—around 4-5 inches should do.
- Place your chosen filling in the center of each pastry square. Fold the corners inward and pinch the edges tightly.
- Roll each filled pastry into a tight cylinder, then bend it into a U-shape, and place in a greased muffin tin.
- In a deep frying pan, heat your neutral oil to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully lower the cruffins into the hot oil. Fry for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove the cruffins from the oil and toss them in the cinnamon sugar mixture until coated.
- Serve your Churro Cruffins warm for the ultimate taste experience.
Notes
- For a different flavor, try using flavored jams.
- Make sure the oil is at the right temperature to avoid soggy cruffins.
