Description

Delicious Churro Cruffins that are crispy on the outside and filled with a variety of sweet ingredients.


Ingredients

  • 1 package Puff Pastry
  • 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Sugar (brown sugar can be used)
  • 2 cups Neutral Oil (canola or vegetable oil)
  • 1 cup Chocolate (dark or milk chocolate)
  • 1 cup Jam (your favorite flavor)
  • 1/2 cup Sweet Cream Cheese (mix with a hint of vanilla)
  • 1/4 cup Cinnamon Sugar (combine cinnamon and sugar)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out your puff pastry until it’s about 1/4 inch thick. Cut it into squares—around 4-5 inches should do.
  3. Place your chosen filling in the center of each pastry square. Fold the corners inward and pinch the edges tightly.
  4. Roll each filled pastry into a tight cylinder, then bend it into a U-shape, and place in a greased muffin tin.
  5. In a deep frying pan, heat your neutral oil to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Carefully lower the cruffins into the hot oil. Fry for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Remove the cruffins from the oil and toss them in the cinnamon sugar mixture until coated.
  8. Serve your Churro Cruffins warm for the ultimate taste experience.
