Description

Delicious waffle cones dipped in chocolate and filled with fresh berries and optional ice cream for a delightful dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 waffle cones
  • 1 cup milk chocolate (or your choice of chocolate)
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil (optional, to thin the chocolate)
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
  • Vanilla ice cream (optional, for filling)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chocolate: Melt the milk chocolate in a microwave or double boiler. If desired, add a small amount of coconut oil to thin the chocolate and make it easier to work with.
  2. Dip the Cones: Dip the tops of the waffle cones into the melted chocolate, ensuring an even coating. Allow the excess chocolate to drip off. Place the cones on a lined baking sheet and let the chocolate set. You can speed up the process by placing them in the refrigerator.
  3. Prepare the Berries: Wash the strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. Hull and quarter the strawberries for easier biting.
  4. Assemble the Cones: Once the chocolate on the cones is set, fill each cone with a scoop of vanilla ice cream if desired. Top with a generous amount of the mixed berries.
  5. Garnish (Optional): Add mint leaves on top for a fresh touch.

Notes

  • Ensure the chocolate is not too hot when dipping the cones, as it may cause the cones to soften.
  • If you’re preparing these ahead of time, store the chocolate-dipped cones separately and assemble them with berries just before serving to keep them crisp.
  • Experiment with different types of chocolate or use candy melts for colorful variations.
  • These cones can be a delightful addition to a dessert buffet or a sweet, easy-to-make party treat.
